Depth Chart released...

sure we might see them on the field for one possession a game or something but we should see them out there darn near all the time.
Ok, coach benard.
wha..? you don't trust bernard to make the right call?

if you can't trust bernard, who can we trust?

OK, new rule.I can't look at any of hack's posts while at work for fear of getting looked at funny when I burst out laughing.

Anyway, seriously, with how the depth chart was used last year it won't surprise me one bit if this get's thrown out the window before the Maine game. Last year the staff showed that they really weren't going to stick hard to the depth chart as far as who get's what playing time. Maybe this year they will be more dilligent about updates, but I doubt it.

no surprise because bjax has more experience. same goes for bradley. Perhaps all the veterans were sick of hearing of how the new recruits were gonna take their spots and they worked extra hard and developed. hard to believe i know but maybe its true.... sheesh

all i can say is grixby must be one hell of an improved athlete......still listed at only 165 lbs?? i can see teams with big wideouts taking advantage of this, at least at 190 lbs. bowman could at least be somewhat physical and match up with big wideouts...i hope i am wrong, but this looks like a problem to me......free safety better be around to help out on that side??
How big was Barron Miles? He couldn't of been any bigger then Grixby. He handled himself alright and if I'm not mistaken he played man-to-man most of the time. Pacman Jones is maybe an inch taller and a few pounds heavier and he did alright. Grixby should be fine. Besides from what has been said we are going to be playing more zone this year.

dumb that ruud and octavian aren't both on the field, is craiq bohl coaching?
They will play together when we are in the nickel. Since a lot of Big 12 teams run three reciever sets that would put them out there quit a bit.

I figured Benard in 02 you were happy with Shanle playing over Hollowell.

While I looked at the depth chart a few things stuck out to me:

Tomerlin nowhere on the depth chart(perhaps his injury is going to keep him out of the first game and who knows how long)

Bowman not starting.

Jordan Picou and Matt Slauson as backups. Picou has been practicing with the team for less than 3 weeks!

Josh Mueller not in the 2 deep(is this kid hurt or just turning out to be a bust?)

A true freshman starting kicker in Congdon, although according to Callahan both him and Dyches might be used in different situations.

Yea, those things kinda piqued my interest. There are many different packages on both sides of the ball though, I wouldn't be surprised to see many of the 2 guys on the field at the same time as the 1 guys.

Is there more than a 2 deep roster that I am not seeing?

I'm still not real sold on this depth chart. Almost everything in it is so much different than what we've been hearing out of practices. I'm not going to have my heart set on this until Wake Forest and our starters take the field in a real game.

Plus if opposing coaches have insider info on the players, let them plan for certain players and throw them the old picklefork

Kinda like a split finger pitch.  Sorry I mixed my metaphors.. Baseball/football
my bad
...Well at least it makes sense now.

I played baseball through high school and have never heard of a picklefork.

jackson behind ross surprises me.....anyone else?

It could be just to make those younger guys work harder and realize nothing is going to be given to them/.
not suprising to me. Jax played alot last year and looked good. Young guys got a ways to go.
