Depth Chart released...

not suprising to me. Jax played alot last year and looked good. Young guys got a ways to go.

Yay, we agree on something!

Bjax definately deserves that second spot. Not only does he have great skills but he's got a year in the system, which is HUGE.

 
I'm still not real sold on this depth chart. Almost everything in it is so much different than what we've been hearing out of practices. I'm not going to have my heart set on this until Wake Forest and our starters take the field in a real game.

The depth chart can certainly change very quickly.

I was suprised not to see Bowman as #1, like I said before, just let the best damn player play :thumbs

As far as Grixby's size, R Brown and B Miles were two of our smallest, yet best corners ever ;)

 
:huh: Chris LeFlore is Mark's little brother.

He was another walk-on after high school. Carrying on the great NU walk-on tradition.

Exactly, I didn't see any of the practices so I'd like to see everyone play before I second-guess or agree with the depth chart. I just don't know enough :)

 
From everything I have heard, not that I go to practices, chart them and induvidually evaluate players as Benard does :sarcasm , McKeon has really come on this fall. I personally think he is mostly a seat warmer until Dillard gets up to speed, but I think he may surprise a few people. He is quick and a good open field tackler, and he plays side line to side line. Our big guys should keep the guards off of him, and McKeon, who played safety in high school, operates better in space. As far as our O line is concerned, people said they wouldnt cut it last year, and they went on to out perform any unit in the offense, so I am not to worried yet. We return three starters on the line and have a couple of really talented guys waiting in the wings at left tackle.

 
Plus if opposing coaches have insider info on the players, let them plan for certain players and throw them the old picklefork :lol:

I think Husker19941995 has the correct approach. That is, experience under the system last year is now determining the starters. By the time ISU rolls around I believe that you'll see the best athletes (many at #2 slot now) taking over the starting positions.

Well they've got to lambaste something; God forbid something positive happens for the team while Coach C is in charge.
