Depth Chart

I think this is all stemming from the Media b******* Bo put in place. This is sort of a punishment for them releasing info too early. If they had been good little reporters he would've been fine giving out the depth chart but this is just an extension of his punishment to the media. BTW does it really matter what the depth chart is going into the 1st game? Either way it is going to be a blowout. I am not worried about it and neither should you.

My guess is we will know who the starter at QB will be by later this week as reports emerge from practice.

Just as there's no reason we need to know the depth chart, there's also not much of a reason for us not to know it. Are the players under a cone of silence? Isn't that a bit unfair to someone who will be starting, to not be able to tell his friends and family? And it's not like it's etched in stone once he releases it. If someone has their head up their butt the rest of the week in practice, he can change it on game day, and explain it any way he likes, or not at all. Too close to call early in the week? That's what the -OR- is for.

I guess we have that competitive advantage, that WKU doesn't know whether to prepare for Lee or Martinez or Green. That may be the difference we need to win this game. :sarcasm

Some people seem to love Bo for "sticking it to the media". The problem for us fans is, that's our main source of info, unless you really like hearing from a guy who knows a guy who has a friend who has a class with a player. As long as the Huskers win, Bo will be able to do whatever he wants. If we drop a few games, I don't think most people will put up with this, and if he doesn't have the media on his side that's not going to help at all. This is a pretty friendly media compared to Boston, New York or Chicago.

I understand the injury issue and letting family know first, but if he wants to keep family from getting called while their kid is in surgery, maybe he ought to find a better way to work with the media rather than the "you'll know when or if I decide you need to know" approach he seems to be taking. With no clue on whether they'll ever be informed, I'm not surprised what writers will do to try to get the news.

He could throw us a bone and give us the majority of the depth chart, minus the QBs.

Gimme something Bo.

Maybe Bo is doing this to confuse the WKU staff, they wont know who to prep for. Va husker said it above.

Im not counting on one till the Kstate game. Plus, I like the element of surprise that first game, when you see some unfamilar faces trot out their for the first defensive/offensive series.

My money is on an official depth chart being released post Washington. And by official, I mean one released by the coaches and not one put together by the media after watching the first couple of games.

Am I the only one here who doesn't really care too much about the depth chart (or absence of one)?

Sure, speculating about who will start is fun . . . but I really don't care if the Nebraska coaches EVER release a public depth chart. I'll find out when they take the field on Saturday. If anything, the anticipation will make Saturday even more exciting.

changing my prediction..... starting depth chart will be

Lee -AND-

Green -AND-

Martinez

Wildcat formatin, Martinez taking the direct snap, Lee split out wide right, Green split out wide left, Burkhead and Helu in the backfield with Martinez.
