DiNardo, in a Hail Varsity article

Ratings, feel good about your team month, and coach speak - BTN crew!
Yet, millions of people tune in and care.

I would genuinely be shocked if we were 70-30 run. Does anybody think we've had a ratio that imbalanced at any time during the last ~10 years? Maybe 65-35, or 60-40 at some point through that time? And that's run or pass heavy.

I also think it's genuinely understood, at least right now, that TA's greatest improvement will need to come in that 1-to-10 yard pass realm. He's always looked fairly crisp throwing a deep ball, but those short to intermediate routes are where he could make the biggest strides.
DiNardo is talking about a 70-30 run split on 1st down not overall for the offense.

Thanks for clarification. That makes more sense.

Then you get a guy down from Portland who sees Oregon st year in and year out for 15 years and claims to not see any difference in talent between the two teams. Until i see otherwise, 9-4 is my belief.

He was talking about the WR position when he said that. Of course, we were also missing Westerkamp, DPE, Burtch, and Reilly from the practice he attended, so... that had a little to do with it.

I've seen you post these same tweets twice now, and twice now I've felt like there's something missing in between the two that makes them make sense together. Because the two by themselves, don't really tell a story.

Sadly, the BTN has said this stuff every year. I don't know how we can be worse with a much more experienced staff all the way around as well as a lot of guys coming back. AA loss still looms large IMO. Hopefully Newby and Wilibon are as advertised.

Honestly, I don't question their honesty, to be honest. We always look good this time of year. The concern is having the quality depth to look good through November and into December.

GiNardo has literally said the exact same things re: our offensive/defensive line for the last three seasons. Not saying he isn't being honest, but you could find something new to say.

It's no secret that the talent on our roster is head and shoulders above an Iowa or Illinois. I mean, that should go without saying.
Yeah, I kinda like him and he does rah rah us a bit but, he never really provides any useful analysis. It's like he has a book and under a Nebraska is says to comment on the lines and physicality.....then get back on the bus. It should be no big secret, with Tommy as our QB, that we might be a little run heavy on first down. If that kind of observation is all that is required, anybody on this board could do his job.
Yep JJ, I agree with you here on above.

We all know that GD is just part of the propaganda machine. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy but just like any TV analyst, if he "farts something that resembles praise for Nebraska Football" his followers goes up by 50,000.

It gets old but it is part of the game and it gets more run this time of the year because we are all hungry for the season to begin.
