1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)?

2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important).

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)?

BIG guy. All that saw him on his official visit said he made some of our guys look like shrimps. Kid's just in high school, that's scary. Came down to the wire between us and Cal. Great grades, wants to be an engineer. He kept the recruiting thing close to his chest and did it very respectfully. He'll be a great Husker.

10. Can also play OG as he showed in the All American game, and very well in fact.

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

Either he red shirts or gets limited time. I'd RS him.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

Haloti Ngata.

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

Come on now, you know Ndamukong Suh is just a name waiting for a first round draft pick. If he red shirts, he'll be our best returning defensive player.

1) What are your first impressions of this recruit (speed, strength, character, leadership, grades, etc)?

First of all, Miami offered a schollie to him and we stole him from one of the premier teams in the nation right now. Thats saying something about our program. Being recruited by miami shows what type of player he is. Many Miami recruits often turn out very good, and hopefully Suh will also, but for the Huskers.

2) Rank his importance to the Huskers 1-10 (10 the most important).

He could very well be the most important defensive addition to the blackshirts. If he is not hes closely behind Dontrell Moore. 7

3) Will he contribute right away? In what capacity?

Suh is one of those players that will have to contribute right away. Our D-Line last year was mostly a joke, and Suh will surely toughen up the front line.

4) Who does this player most remind you of?

Tommie Harris

5) Where do you see this player in 2009?

Being a top pick in the nfl draft. Maybe not as high as people would think but definitely in the top 3 rounds

Tommie Harris is a nice comparison. I don't think he was ranked as high or has as much attention, but a tough, nasty SOB none the less.

In a profile I read, it says that he is believed to be the first player from the state of Oregon to sign a National Letter of Intent with Nebraska. Only two walkons players from that state have earned letters in Nebraska football history.

Who are those two walkons?

Maybe Jarvis Redwin???? Maybe a juco?

With the D-line being four deep right now, do we take a chacnce and redshirt this kid. A year in the weight room, or he's that good we can't afford to ....

I'd play my best players. If Suh is better than another DLer, play him.

The last thing I want to see is seniors playing because "they are seniors". Fine, rotate them in during the senior game, but play your best players!

From the Eugene, Oregon newspaper, The Register-Guard:

[Grant H.S.--Portland, Oregon] senior Ndamukong Suh won the shot put with a toss of 61-4 to set a school record.

"I had a good one in warmups, so I knew I had it in me," said Suh, who has signed to play football at Nebraska next season.
