Why a pessimistic take? 4*, top 300 on 247.

is it the list of other schools that offered him and lack of major programs the reason?

I watched his film.  Doesn't really jump out at you.  I don't think he uses his hands very well at initial contact.  He gives good effort but I don't see a 4* when watching him.  He's not particularly quick either.

I think he looks promising.  Get he in the new S&C program.  He has frame to add 25-30 lbs and be solid DL.  Love his powerful tackling - he bear hugs and body slams.  He can learn some of the techniques and so on with coaching.   GBR.
