Zac did a much better job with his decision making.

This. I'm not advocating Zac Lee starting, but Bernorange is right on this. A lot of poor decisions in the passing and running game today by Martinez. Not that the receivers helped him much...

Because if Taylor gets plowed and can't play there is another QB ready to step up and play. The receivers didn't come to play, period. I am not saying Lee should start, or Lee is better, so lighten up, Francis. :thumbs

We are trying to win right? If he gets plowed thats part of the game, trust me he isn't worried about getting plowed he wants to win. No one on that team thinks they have a better chance at winning with Zac over T-majic so dont pull him period. you win and lose with the starting QB because he gives you the best chance at winning. I've been a HUGE fan of husker football for a long time and this is just insane!!! Bo and Wats will have a lot of explaining to do after this one.

Yes, we are trying to win. Lee came in and led the team down the field twice, and it should have been 2 TD's. Martinez couldn't get that kind of momentum all day. Because Martinez is such a dynamic runner, and a weapon that needs to be utilized, he may take a big shot and may not finish a game at some point this year. Happens all the time. I am not sure what you saw about Martinez' play that indicated he played well today. His reads on the zone read play were off all day. He is young, he didn't have it today. He is a freshman, he will learn from this and get better, and we move on.

Martinez wasn't the problem. The problem was that our receivers dropped the ball.

Texas was selling out to stop the zone read, and we couldn't get them to back off because we couldn't catch the ball.

keep ZL as second in command of the ship... stick with TM he is after all the red shirt freshman.... however everyone needs to give Zl for his comtement and showing up... the guy aint no b!^@h like a lot of people say he was
