Do wet conditions help or hurt Nebraska on Saturday?

Pretty good chance we will have a wet field and/or have it rain during some point of the game Saturday.  What do people think, does the wet conditions help or hurt us more than THE OSU?  I would think it hurts us a bit more, but that is just looking at how fast and up-tempo offenses who sling it around tend to slow it down in rain.

Thoughts?  (Bring your poncho for Saturday too)

I think rain would make me nervous due to our fumbling issues. But historically doesnt bad weather help level the playing field for less talented teams?

If ohio st was more of a passing team i would say it would hurt them.   But they are bigger up front and have a good running back so they could just decide to grind it out on us.  Plus its not like its going to be muddy so i dont think it is going to affect either team very much

I'd be worried about fumbling, but that's already been a problem so I don't know if it'd make it way worse, possibly. I still think it levels the playing field a bit because it forces everyone to slow it down and try to avoid slipping even though turf isn't as bad as grass for slipping. So, that takes away a bit of their athleticism advantage. It would force us to run more and probably hurt the passing game, but that worked out ok vs MSU last year!

The team that worries about slipping is the team that will lose

I think the rain would fire up this team.  They have been all about overcoming the odds.

I think it stings big time that they lost by 3 to Colorado in OT.  They will lay their bodies on the line to grind out a victory, rain or shine. They will accept nothing less, and do so as a team.

I can see it going either way. One way, maybe the less likely, is that the rain stacks on top of the primetime kick, the insane crowd noise, the first real road test of Fields' career, and all the elements together turn it into a very intimidating and sloppy performance.
