Do you ever hang out in opponent's boards?

I started posting to a Gator site ~5 years ago..I'm not sure why..(Probably googled something that led me to there).

Over the years, it was fun poking them and getting them fired up. (While trying to remain a good sport).

I've since been able to stay away for the most part (off season, anyway) but have found myself bugging them again.

, but lately I wonder if I've been avoiding Husker sites (the ones I could find) because I prefered remembering Husker fans as being the smartest fans around and not wanting to read anything that would change my mind.

i.e. The dumb posts I read on other sites were just attributed to dumb Southern Rednecks.

Anyway..Occasionally, one of the new posters will run out of insults and ask me why I hang out in enemy territory... and I sometimes have trouble coming up with a reason

Maybe it's like Dodgeball in H.School..I loved it when I was the last one left on my team and had to overcome the odds.

 
I didn't realize we had opponents worthy of my sh!t-talking... joking... but no... i have school and stuff to take care of....

 
Sometimes I go to soonerfan.com but not to flame. I can get good info there and they seem to be pretty intellegent there. Boy do they hate Callahan thou...

 
Why do you hate Callahan???? I don't go on any other boards..................there is no need to when no other board can compare to this one..........................THIS BOARD ROCKS!!!!

I see no reason why they shouldnt. If another coach called Husker fans "f/ing hicks" for example along with the throat gesture thing, I wouldnt be too supportive. He put himself into that mess.

I dont check out other boards. I can see how it would be fun & interesting. I have just enough time for this one. And of course, it rocks!!!!

I like to hit a few of the other Big 12 boards. I love to see the way some of their fans are in "we suck" denial. By far it's sCUm fans hands down! These are some of the most delusional people in the world! At 0-4 they still talk crap. Their fans are like that kid you knew back in Jr High. He would run his mouth so much he would get his a$$ kicked on a daily basis, yet he would continue to do it!

 
I only go to other team's boards when led there by a post from a Husker board. It's not really worth it from my point of view.

 
Just allbuffs, cause it's funny (and they think we're the idiots). I just joined there, but haven't been there long enough to waste all my time there. Just read a few posts for 'entertainment purposes only'.

 
Nah, it's a waste of time IMO. Most aren't worth anything. Huskerboard is all you need!!!!

I read a couple of posts from the teams message board that we are going to play to get their point of view and some info about their teams. Don't really ever post on any boards but do read up about their teams.

 
I check out allbuffs a lot, but other than that, a little texags here and there, because they are cool people over there.

Yeah..That's easier to say when you limit your experiences.

For the most part, I have been impressed with this board..Great place to get other Huskers' opinions and maybe get "the Lowdown" on why the coach used a particular "Gameplan"..Or NOT use ANY.

Still...It's great to spread the Husker gospel to all those unfortunate fans of other teams...'Specially when they come back with statements about how much Class Husker fans usually have, or how they will occaisionally let it slip that we had the greatest team they ever saw ('95 Fiesta).

Just visiting your own team's board reminds me of that scene from "Blazing Saddles" where "The GUV" (Mel Brooks) Makes a proposal, and 20 guys repeatedly answer in "Harumph" or something like that..Then he says to Harvey Korman?, "HEY..I didn't get a 'Harumph' outa you!".

How many times can you read, "GBR"?

Glad I saw the revised ratings based on Graduation Rates thread...My Wife is an Ohio State Grad and needed to be taken down a notch.

Well I suppose your right if you find the right board.................but I spend so much time on this board I don't think I could work another one into my schedule!!!! :lol:
