Does anyone know if we

or is that saved just for Spring/Training Camp? I can see the positives and negatives on both sides.
i have brought this up before on here and really like the idea. However some good points against it were brought up about more injuries happening and so on.

i am not a coach and i will have to defer to the coaches on this board for assistance

Like I said, I can see the positives and negatives of both. The VERY BIG NEGATIVE would be injuries. However, if we have 15+ people on both sides being No 1s (including co 1s), that means we are essentially doing 1s vs 2s or 3s if we don't. Given our depth, this is a big drop off. Just seems to be that we are not ready for the speed and physicality of the better teams come game time.

I don't know, but it might help us be able to tackle. And if We could do a full pad practice like that do you think they prepare for the big teams like USC with putting 12-13 players on defense in practice so the offense will have to work harder and vice-versa? I think maybe if they don't they should because once keller got use to having to get rid of the ball quicker and make quicker decisions he would be more at easy on the field. And if the Defense had to cover more recievers or o-linemen wouldn't that make them quicker and better adjusted?

Osborne often said, late in his career, "You have to be willing to pay the physical price for success."

That's why he ran 1s vs. 1s at least once/twice a week, from '93 on.

The only way you get better IMO is running the 1's against one another. How can your offense get better if they are going against the 2nd team??? I say full contact no matter what!!!! This will only make you tougher, but you do raise your chance for injuries by quite a bit. You could also argue though that your 2's aren't going to get better unless they play against the 1's???
