Does only the fans want the old Husker tradtion?

Just thinking, is it the fans who want the old tradtion Husker football back. Power running game. Run 70 times pass 10. Right now I'm hearing no coach who wants to come here and run the option here. What recruits are saying "I want to go to Nebraska and change the west coast back to the running attack style." Is it only the fans? To go back to the option you need a AD, Coach, and players who want to change. Who is out there? Isn't Army or Navy the only teams running the option? Let's say everybody gets fired this year then what. Who will coach the option and what recruits come here? Everybody wants to fire everybody but does anybody really have a real coach and players to come here.
I does!

I don't want us to go back to the option ever. I think our offense is doing just fine the way it is and they are actually exciting to watch. I think alot of people want our defense to go back to the old way of thinking. That is "We are Nebraska and we will kill you!"...................just to add some attitude back to the defense. :dunno
:yeah

F*ck tradition...it better start right now...

Just wondering if anyone could name me a school in the top 10 that is running the west coast offense.
:yeah

I felt a little insulted getting the WCO so far "After the Fact" What's next? Disco and Bellbottoms?

That is until seeing it's endless possibilities.

Still. My favorite offense to watch now days is Florida's spread with the QB running the option..But #15's (Teebo and Frazier) don't grow on trees.

The 10 yard "Dink and Dunk" is too much of a preek-teaser..I want to see more 35 yard passes and some power fullback traps thrown in..Maybe an occaisional option to the trailing back thrown in to scare the rest of the nation..And the return of the BLACKSHIRTS!!!

This is an excellent point. Everybody knows that what kind of offense a team runs has an overwhelming effect on their defense's ability to be in position and tackle.

:sarcasm

Hmm top ten team that runs a variation of the WCO...No one ever hear of USC? It is a pro style offense, and really, at this day and age, pro style and WCO are about the same thing. Of the teams in he top 10, only Florida and West Virgina(who wont be top ten come the next round of polls) run a pure spread. OU, Texas, LSU, Cal, OSU, and Wisc alter what they run based on the QB, and right now, they are all running more of a pro-style set than the read-option.

Right now, if the defense was playing like it did in the 90s, no one would be talking about the offense.
