Axios reporting he tendered his resignation to John Kelly. Sounds like he was going to be fired if he did not do so.

I have to wonder if this timing is coordinated with the sh#t hitting the fan with Kavanaugh or it is purely coincidental.


 
So if this is correct, does the White House get to pick his replacement with the understanding that the special council and his investigation will be ended?

 
Just to repeat, if Trump fires Rosenstein now, the last straw was a New York Times article, which he claims is fake news.

Rosenstein needs to hold strong and make them fire him, if they are this desperate.  It would be Trumps Saturday night massacre, and be the beginning of the end, especially with mid terms so close.
