Was looking to get the 1995 fiesta bowl game on dvd for a friend of mine for x-mas since he has been wanting one ever since he began watching the huskers. He's a poor college kid, so i thought it would be a nice x-mas present.Thats awesome. Pretty cool to see a couple of my buddies & hear their names announced with a team that many believe is the greatest CF team ever. Kinda surreal, I know it is for them too.
BTW, if anyone is in need of any Husker videos, including the 95 highlight or any Bowl games, I also run Huskervideos.com, and proceeds help support this site. I havent had time to update it much lately though, so if you need a vid that isnt listed just let me know and I'll hook you up. I get them through Husker Vision so theyre all authentic & brand new.
Clester is still around town, I've seen him at the gym from time to time, as are alot of these guys.Seeing Clester "Tank" Johnson brings back memories. He was our QB in highschool. Also seeing #7 Reggie Baul brought back great memories of playing our arch rival Bellevue East! Ah the good ole days!
Yeah Clester was a helluva'n athlete - also an All-State track star - and if Im not mistaken still holds the record for Nebraska HS bench press at 425. Pretty sick right.Seeing Clester "Tank" Johnson brings back memories. He was our QB in highschool. Also seeing #7 Reggie Baul brought back great memories of playing our arch rival Bellevue East! Yep I sure do remember Erick! He was cousins to Johnson. Yeah he was one hell of a BB player. B East eh? I remember ole Coach James over there. I swear he founded Belleve East! LMAO I also remember the Salcedo Brothers. Man could they wrestle!Yeah Clester was a helluva'n athlete - also an All-State track star - and if Im not mistaken still holds the record for Nebraska HS bench press at 425. Sounds like you also probably knew a kid named Strick, eh Guru? Im a B-East guy, a bit younger than you, but grew up watching those guys, and Erick was actually my 6th grade Bball coach. Very cool guy as well. I ran into him a few times in Lincoln, and he never seemed to let all the attention get the better of him, even after he was playing for the Marlins & working on an NBA contract. He always had time to stop & BS about the old Bellevue days, and those ridiculous bun-huggers he used to wear at West.
No doubt, the Salcedo bros could box, wrestle, and just plain scrap. The last guys you would wanna go bareknuckle with.Yep I sure do remember Erick! He was cousins to Johnson. Don't forget about the Rush family either. Those bruisers could go toe to toe with many! I was good friends with Charlie Rush back in the day!No doubt, the Salcedo bros could box, wrestle, and just plain scrap. Speaking of East football, Im sure the name Artis Garris rings a bell..? I may have been easily impressed as a freshman, but damn I swear that guy had Ahman Green type talent. Unbelievable how easily he dominated the game. Too bad he wasted so much talent.
