Haha, I'm familiar with Missy Cummings. If you listen to the interview, she claims the pedestrian can't be blamed for the accident because that person died, which is nonsense, and then she tries to say that they were crossing near a walkway even though there's a sign saying not to cross there. And then goes on to speculate that the county is going to be culpable because that sign probably means the road design isn't safe, which is an enormous leap in logic. And I question her claims that the vision systems are "deeply flawed". Deeply flawed in what way and compared to what? Humans have blind spots too. But she's right that there needs to be standardized tests to license autopilot systems before they should be allowed to drive without human supervision.
