Eastlake, OH -- An Eastlake police officer could be in big trouble with the law after an alleged drunken driving incident in Medina.
Authorities say Officer Tony Doyle stopped the city-owned vehicle he was driving in the middle of the road earlier this month because he needed to go to the bathroom, NewsChannel5 reported.
He was then hit by a car. State troopers say Doyle was headed home from a retirement party that night.
Doyle is recovering at an area hospital and will face drunken driving charges.
