Half the fan base would have been in an uproar if we didn't offer Maspry and let him go to Iowa/UCLA/etc.
So we offer Maspry. An in-state, P5 player, who truly wanted to be a Husker. He commits on spot. The in state kids dream.
Now the other half the fan base is in an uproar because we offered above described kid and have others more highly rated interested and we don't potentially have a spot for them.
Not saying you are wrong Girlknowsfootball....but it's a double edged sword and the coaches aren't going to make both sides happy. They offered above described recruit because they thought he'd be a good fit for the program (albeit they still thought 4-3 at that point).
It's why in-state recruiting in this state is very delicate.
