Dyches???

Hey everyone! New to the board. I am a Northern Colorado Bears fan and would like any info you could give me about David Dyches, who transfering to UNC. Is he inconsistant or a solid kicker? Looks like we have three former Huskers now. Downing, Birkel and now Dyches. Any info would be nice.

 
I thought he was pretty good until we signed Congdon. After that DD couldn't break into the starting position. Not sure if it was consistency or ???.

He started off rock solid in 03, then struggled the last 1/3 of the season, lost his job to Sandro Deangelis and never regained it. An ok kicker, I guess.

 
i heard he had a stronger leg than any of them, but he sometimes lacked consistency. I would be happy to have him if I were you- of course I don't know what kind of kickers you have now. I think he just wanted to start somewhere. He was always really quiet, but he seemed like a nice guy. I hope he does well for you.

 
I think that he was a pretty good kicker 14 of 21 his freshman year if I am correct. May not be. But with Jordan as our kicker now, I think he wanted to be at a place where he could kick full time and be appreciated.

 
He's a real good kicker. I think he might be better then the one we got now. He will do real well for you guys.

yep and Sandro couldn't kick himself in the a$$, without missing! that should tell you something about DD.......

Yeah Congdon sucks. didn't he break the frosh record that had been held by another kicker that was pretty crappy when he was here- Kris Brown?

sorry Bears, we have a poster that hates every player BC recruited, that includes our current kicker. its nothing against D.Dyches!

Personally i think he'll do quite well, as will the coach ;)

two more reasons to root for UNC.
