Dylan Raiola

I don't know how you take that quote any other way than what I said earlier, unless you want to believe Dylan is a fatboy. Rhule is simply saying he is working on his body comp. Again, something every young athlete does.

Than fanbase was poking at Dylan's weight since he stepped on campus so I don't think any discussion by coach is really unprompted.

You said you didn't think Rhule said he needed to lose any weight.  I don't think it's a stretch to say that Rhule though he could trim down a bit to be more nimble and able to run.

I guess if you want to semantic the difference between "body comp" and "weight", that's fine.  But, again, I don't think you can read Rhule's comments as "he's fine where he is."

The picture was from this spring, not from when he first got on campus.
I wasn't talking about that picture.  I was talking about people who were talking about him being fat before this picture.  Hence the "looking fit not fat" tag.  Plus media asking about Dylan's weight.

I don't care what he looks like, I don't want my QB running the ball.  Can he throw the ball on time, with the correct velocity, and in the right window? I would rather have Peyton Manning or Tom Brady statues back there and RBs running the ball instead.

If there was nothing wrong with Raiola's weight, that was the worst statement by a coach you could possibly come up with.

I don't necessarily either.  In a perfect world, our QB would never run.  However, life happens and plays break down, linemen lose their blocks...etc.  A QB that is nimble on his feet extends plays till WRs get open or pick up first downs on their own when all that happens.  Ones that aren't take more sacks.

How did this story end?

Sam Bradford: 237/341 3121 y 36 td 8 int - fiesta bowl appearance

Kellen Moore 281/405 3486 y 25 td 10 int Poinsetta bowl appearance

Jameis Winston 257/384 4057y 40td 10 int won the Heisman

Dylan Raiola 257/410 2819y 19td 11int Gotham bowl

All those guys had great college years after that freshman appearance that were statistically better (with the exception of Winston who had mildly statistically worse next season but hard to improve on a Heisman garnering year)

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!

I'd argue that all those guys were in better situations than Raiola had as a Freshmen. Raiola's situation should get better each year as Rhule is a program builder and I think he'll look considerably better as he and the team will both continue to get better.

I'll take OU's John Mateer. Reminds me of Crouch and Baker Mayfield combined. Super dynamic and fun to watch.

Brutal schedule though - Michigan, Alabama, Texas, Ole Miss, Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn, Mizzou, LSU.

Wonder how Nebraska would do against that schedule. 1 win? Maybe 2???

If OU wins 7 or 8 of those 9 games, just crown him. For real.

There's potentially 6 or 7 wins in there if that was our schedule. Are we forgetting we played the national champs down to the wire in a 4 point game?
