I think the best bet is to not try to run him at all.  Maybe tell him to take off on a 3rd and long or whenever you notice a defense not paying attention.  I wouldn’t design runs for him.  He's the best passing QB they have.  Dont put him in harms way

Yes.  I'd also like to know what routes Fidone and the other WR right beside him were supposed to be running.  I can't imagine they wanted them all so close together.


Can't remember what the announcer said but it was to the effect they wanted to draw the defenders to open up the back of the end zone. They did accomplish that as they had 3 defenders on them.

The slot and TE (Fidone) had pick routes to engage the LBs.  Push and turn in.  It clears space for Banks to run back of end zone.  

A well drawn out play that we have seen in football for years.  Raiola threw a beautiful, perfect strike.  

Note:  If the LBs drift backward, you have an open man underneath (Fidone).
