You're ignoring a completion % < 60 for the 2 prior years. You take the TD / INT with a QB that can't complete > 60% of his passes, you are going to be in trouble if you don't have a great running game and defense. There is more to playing QB than TD and extending drives and making completions when it is important is a huge part of what a QB at a winning program needs to do. 

The difference between Allar and Raiola is Allar can drive the ball down field but he is all over the place. We've not seen DR driving the ball much yet but he is largely very accurate save on (some very memorable) long balls.

That’s a fantastic year from a turnover margin standpoint.   Obviously INT’s are never ideal, but I did hear an interesting conversation on the radio when discussing Lamar Jackson last week and his insane TD/INT ratio.   The thought was QB’s can get too conservative during the year and then when it comes to playoff time, they end up being gun shy with decision making and end up not making the tough tight throws one needs to make in order to win postseason games.  They don’t play free and easy.   
 

I thought it was an interesting discussion.  Haven’t made up my mind on if I think they were right or wrong yet.

Lamar Jackson does well in the regular season because they have a dominant running game and if he doesn't like a look he takes off running.  But he's not a very precise passer.  When things get tougher in the post season because he's playing better teams, they are more locked in on defense and really dial in their game plan to contain his running, his production drops.

I hope Dana works with DR on a few things:

Taking what is there and not what he wants.

Work on the mid to long throws.  Those at 10+ yards downfield.  His are more like YOLO.

Learn the difference in sliding vs diving for yards.

Throw with urgency.

Don't play "lazy".

With all that being said, I do think year 2 he will be much improved.  A better offensive identity.  Better play calling.  POTENTIAL for better play makers at the skill positions.  Better ST play (hopefully) will help the play calling.  More maturity by DR.  Another year in the weight room.  I don't see him regressing.  He took some lumps and got us 7 wins and a bowl victory.  I'll take it!

I think you're right. I think the layman national writer looks at Nebraska's roster and doesn't see a lot to be excited about outside of Raiola. And they're not wrong. Nebraska absolutely needs to add and cultivate more NFL caliber talent on its offense. Imagine if Raiola had someone close to Egbuka's skill level at WR to throw to and what that could do for the offense.

My thoughts as well   My hope that our NIL would bring in first a great OL and a game changing RB and WR.   I think we are MEH at RB and serviceable at WR - good but nothing great.  I really like EJ at RB but thus far he isn't the dynamic back that can change a game by his presence.  We will see what our OC can do now that he has a full off season to work with what he's got.  Biggest concern is still OL - it has to be great before any of the other position groups can be great.

That seems to be part of the point these ex QB’s were making.   He’s too comfortable running vs trusting he can put the ball into a tight window/making that an emphasis during the regular season.  I get though, because they get so focused in wanting to win games and relying on what got them to the league, it’s hard to change a mindset that may cost some games in the short term through turnovers/incompletions/less rushing yards but it could force him to improve in a way it helps for postseason. 

 
Secret Sauce ?  You mean the 5-star WRs that will be first rounders, the 5-star running backs, and the 4-star offensive lineman ??  

Dylan could benefit from that, just like 5th-year-SR Will Howard did.   :clap

When the pocket collapses I hope to see Raiola improve his throwing on the run.  And quicker decision making during the process.  Sometimes it means he focused on downfield throws for too long. 

The longer he holds the ball, refs tend to throw holding flags.  Especially going around Offensive Tackles.  At the end of the year he started chucking it out of bounds a lot and getting sacked.  But also, he had a good mindset by not throwing it across his body into defenders.
