Meh, I’m not holding a grudge. But maybe I am being petty, hoping they don’t do better somewhere else. I just hate the current state of things in CFB. It ain’t what it used to be and I’m not going to pretend it is.I don't know if too many think Nebraska owes Dylan or the Raiola family anything. However, I think there is a large contingent that appreciates the efforts made to support the program, even if it didn't live up to the expectations or hopes of many fans. I suspect some view Dylan as selling out to leave Nebraska, but he's likely taking a pay cut to go elsewhere so selling out isn't quite accurate. Instead, he and his family are searching for the next stop in hopes of maximizing their chances at pro success. Sure, it puts Nebraska in a bind, but it's hard to fault a kid for chasing his dreams and quietly leaving versus blasting the coaches, teammates, or the program on the way out.
If everyone held grudges for players leaving, we would all be insane under the current format of college football. Instead, we'll continue to support the guys wearing the red, white, or black uniforms and there's nothing wrong with hoping those that used to wear the same laundry have individual success beyond their time at Nebraska.
There’s a reason I used to like CFB more than the NFL. And now CFB is way worse. It’s not about the fans or the school or player loyalty, it’s just 100% business, money and greed. That’s all there is right now. I don’t like it. At. All.
