I don't know if too many think Nebraska owes Dylan or the Raiola family anything. However, I think there is a large contingent that appreciates the efforts made to support the program, even if it didn't live up to the expectations or hopes of many fans. I suspect some view Dylan as selling out to leave Nebraska, but he's likely taking a pay cut to go elsewhere so selling out isn't quite accurate. Instead, he and his family are searching for the next stop in hopes of maximizing their chances at pro success. Sure, it puts Nebraska in a bind, but it's hard to fault a kid for chasing his dreams and quietly leaving versus blasting the coaches, teammates, or the program on the way out.

If everyone held grudges for players leaving, we would all be insane under the current format of college football. Instead, we'll continue to support the guys wearing the red, white, or black uniforms and there's nothing wrong with hoping those that used to wear the same laundry have individual success beyond their time at Nebraska.

Meh, I’m not holding a grudge. But maybe I am being petty, hoping they don’t do better somewhere else. I just hate the current state of things in CFB. It ain’t what it used to be and I’m not going to pretend it is.

There’s a reason I used to like CFB more than the NFL. And now CFB is way worse. It’s not about the fans or the school or player loyalty, it’s just 100% business, money and greed. That’s all there is right now. I don’t like it. At. All.

At least in the NFL you expected guys to eventually be traded or leave as contract expired. But "Usually" they'd be on your team for a few years. College is now just a free for all. Guys being on school 5 in 5 years. No loyalty what so ever. And maybe not by design or intent, but that's the norm now. No camaraderie, no real teammates, just dudes getting paid or looking to be paid. With no guard rails in place. Just a wide open highway where you can drive any direction and anywhere you want.

I think his success or failure will depend on his development. We saw him behind a poor line and 2 OC's who were great at the 1st few scripted drives then went off the rails against opponents who adjusted. Moore looked pedestrian against Indy as did a lot of QB's they faced. Lanning won't put all his eggs in the Dylan for QB in 2027. He will hit the portal or develop a recruit for some insurance. Interesting to see how he does with a "better" team. Crazy a 5* starter, transfers to ride the pine (if Moore stays)....All about the money. Maybe fam as well.

I don't think that Oregon looks at Raiola as settling. They probably look as what he did here and feel like he played exceptionally well with what he had around him.

The hope is that whomever looks at him will fancy him coachable. As it is his head is in the way, in more ways than one. True he didn't have much "around him" as to the O-line, but his hesitance and "he's only a Freshman" behavior throughout would have to be seen as correctable by the right staff for him to retain standing (and value.. now days).

He was good here, he was what we needed from a national perception and recruiting. He took us to 2 bowl games. Was he great, nope, but he was the best we have had in years. Facing Moore next year with his third year in that system would be a tougher game than facing DR in his first year in the system and being immobile in my opinion.

I think Moore bc playing Raiola and seeing him on the other side brings feelings of what could have been and it leaves a bad taste in people's mouth to see him playing in the same conference as us. With Moore you don't have any feelings towards him bc their is no history with him.

Yes he he made mistakes and that contributed to the offense not playing great at times but he made some great throws in very tight windows that NFL talented qb's make. That is what Oregon is probably looking at and while he did hold on to the ball too much they probably feel that is coachable.
