If I remember correctly, Tebow is quite a bit faster, and a better athlete than Freeman is. Kind of like what the majority of the Big12 and alot of NFL teams are going after for qbs.

 
I thought you wanted to go back to the good ol' days and recruit all the local boys and screw the nfl it doesnt matter former? What's this with the flip flop on opinion. Tebow has a very long slow delivery, and his ability to run is always secondary in a pro style offense to one's ability to pass. Peyton, Farve, Brady. None of these guys are exactly agile, but they make great NFL quarterbacks. Speed isnt neccessary, maybe useful, but not neccessary, to be a great modern quarterback.

 
I went back and watched the video of Josh and yeah he is one big guy.. He looks like a giant next to all the other guys in the video.. :lol:

Very sensible with a good sense of humor and with the training regimen at NU the sky is the limit for this man.

This kid is already big and only going to get bigger. Has a big time arm to boot. Hopefully he comes in and continues to get better.

Funny, I dont remember knocking Freeman one bit, I just pointed out that Tebow is more highly regarded, and is thought to have more athletic ability at this point. :dumdum

While not the exact same athletically, Tebow is more along the lines of guys like Culpepper and Vick, which alot of NFL teams are looking at. A guy who can get out of the pocket and move.

Get your facts straight for once.

Tebow is along the lines of Vick? You are basing this on what exactly? He hasn't even played a down in DIV-A. Please tell me you are basing this on something other then some video you might have or might not have seen on Tebow. I have seen both QB films and they both can pass and rush. Tebow might be a better rusher, but Freeman isn't that far behind. So in a sense, Freeman is along the same line of Vick you mentioned. Or no wait, he's a Nebraska recruit, so he's automatically eliminated.

Please define "more athletic ability"? What does that mean? He can fly or something? If he was more athletic, then why did he start whining when freeman beat him the Elite 11 QB camp. Surely you are not going to (gulp) say Freeman cheated are ya?

Freeman strikes me as the one with the most unlimited talent. I don't know much about Tebow, but perhaps he may be more refined at this point than Freeman. I've been told before that Freeman sometimes is not patient enough in the pocket and starts scrambling too soon instead of trying to find the open receiver. Perhaps Tebow is rated higher because he needs less development than Freeman. I don't think it's an athletic issue.

 
According to Rivals Tebow is :star :star :star :star :star Dual Threat QB and Freeman is :star :star :star :star Pro Style QB. I know I'm no recruiting expert but wouldn't Pro Style mean more of a pocket passer? Wouldn't Dual Threat mean more of a scrambler? If you ask me when I think of Pro Style I think Manning/Brady and when I think Dual Threat I think Vick. Maybe that's just me. I would take either of these kids and am glad we got one of them. :horns2
