East Stadium expansion plans still growing

To be honest I hope that they'll add more than 5,000 seats and hopefully in the future they could expand on the southside of the stadium by adding another jumbo tron.

I guarantee if Memorial Stadiums expands its capacity to 100,000+ seats I'm sure the consecutive sellout streak would still be running strong for a long time.

My gosh. I'm impatient... so much talk but I wanna see the flyby video of what it's gonna look like... and I want to sit in it when it's complete!!

How much you wanna bet that this "donor" money that's been supposedly flooding in much faster than anticipated is partially coming from the 3rd richest man in the world worth $$47Billion who is a super stealth under the radar Husker Fan...

Who needs T Boone Pickens when you have Mr. Warren Buffet

I've read before that Buffet does NOT donate to NU athletics. Can't find a link right now, but I've seen it multiple times over the years.

1. Buffet doesn't donate (at least not like he could) to the University or Athletic Department. There's a reason his name isn't on the Business school at UNL-you got to pony up some $$$$$ first.

2. Heard from a former player/cousin who talked with Paul Meyers shortly before Christmas who said that they ultimately want to dublicate North Stadium on the South Side----i.e. Another Jumbotron and suites all the way around the stadium with a few additional seats, but the focus would be on higher value seats.

While that would look really nice, I can't help but feel it would be a stupid move. You're esseentially boxing in the stadium, and deciding right then and there that you won't ever be able to expand afterwards. North stadium is done with, there's no way they can do more to it without tearing it at least a little apart.

How about moving the capital building and 1st National Bank to east of the stadium and connect them with seats

Well they have until around 2018-2020 to change their minds...so still alot of time

We all need to remember we can't eventually get to 110,000 and continue our sellout streak. I love the idea of doing this to the south side, and actually have been wanting it for years. Besides how much room do we really have left on the south side for more seats anyways? That structure planks out pretty wide already. It looks too wide to do a Penn State on it

Notice below the endzone seats don't go as far back
