Last chance. I agree with the move, but wouldn't exactly disagree if he had been fired. Easier to give one final chance than just blow it up. If things don't change next year you can definitely say he had every opportunity.

 
I'm fine with it, but I'm not as invested as the more hardcore roundball fans. So I respect the opinions of those who are at the end of their patience with him.

I just hope the next guy is someone I don't particularly care for as a person, so I don't care when he's inevitably fired.

 
I like Miles and will support the team, but holy sh#t that is some serious pressure next year. Each loss will be so magnified.

 
Classic Nebraska move will be Miles goes like 22-10, gets just enough to be a 14 seed in the NCAA tournament and first round exit. Miles keeps his job for another 4 years.

 
Good. I'm glad for Tim that he's being given a pretty clearly, if not explicitly, defined make or break last chance. He's embraced the school, fans, and state so well that I think he deserves it. Hopefully the pressure will make him and the team rise up to the challenge. Really hoping to see some staff turnover though.

At large teams from P5 conferences aren't 14 seeds. As a matter of fact, no at large teams are 14 seeds. But yes, NU could get in as an 11-12 seed and lose first round.

No statement though of whether his contract is extended? Isn't a 5 year contract period standard for coaches but TM wasn't renewed last year making this year 4? Next year would be year 3 then.

 
Miles needs to not schedule the number 1 sos for 2017 or he will lose his job. Give us a top 40 schedule and schedule one or two lesser teams to the non conference. Tim needs at least 19 regular season wins with one in the B1G tourney to make the big dance next year.
