end of the world i'm not sure about but end of NCAA college football here are my dooms day scenarios

1. Iowa State goes undefeated and wins the MNC back to back

2. Colorado joins the Big 10

3. Pelini is fired/steps down and Watson replaces him

4. Bill Callahan takes over as NCAA Director or even worse as Athletic Direct here

5. A playoff system is created (most people even I would support this)

If I was a betting man, I'm going with out-of-control population boom over the next 25-50 years, leading to global scale resource wars with eventual large scale EMP usage, which in turn sends most of the civilized world into another dark age.

Sky Net becomes self aware and John Connor must save us all. Yes that's right, John Connor is a passionate member of Husker Nation.

What if deja vu mean't you lost a life...

...and you're just starting back at your last checkpoint?

:o

I'm really hoping for a zombie apocalypse, as long as the zombies are like the ones in The Walking Dead and not the super athletic ones from the Dawn of the Dead remake.

I think I'd be able to survive for quite a while. I don't own a gun or anything, but we have a lot of chainsaws, bats, etc.

Zombieland style would be neat as well...

I am going to go with this one. The United nations gets completely out of control and God intervens after a time period and wipes out who He does not want around.

Twilight Zone skit:

Aliens show up at UN and tells us that they are going to destroy the earth because of the way the nations treat each other. Officials ask for 2 days to fix the problem, which is granted. After 2 days the UN officials present to the aliens a world wide peace treaty. Aliens laughs and says that earth is not violent enough to meet their standards.

Pretty good memory for 26 years

An emissary (John Glover) from an alien race arrives to claim to have genetically engineered Humanity. He directly challenges the United Nations to prove Humanity's worth, displeased over their "small talent for war". He then tells them that Mankind has failed to produce the potential that the aliens nurtured in them thousands of years ago, and as a result, all life on Earth will be destroyed in 24 hours. With the survival of Humanity at stake, the UN hurriedly establishes an accord for lasting global peace and presents it to the emissary.

However, the emissary was, in fact, seeking a greater talent for war, as the aliens routinely breed warriors to fight for them across the galaxy. Humanity's "small talent" for war (crude weapons, petty bickering over borders) is not significant enough to be of any use to them, and worst of all, the ultimate goal of Humanity is peace. As the ambassador calls down a fleet of spaceships to destroy the Earth, he praises the humans for their "delightful sense of the absurd", and his parting comment repeats the dying words attributed to several English-language actors: "Dying is easy, comedy is hard".
