Enunwa breaks record

Enunwa broke Johnny Rogers record for TD catches. Where does he rank in your mind on the all time list for WR's in Husker history?

Were it not for dropped passes, the guy could own a lot more records. He's a good player that bordered on great, but just had too many drops. I really believe he has NFL size and ability, if he can hang onto the football.

Wow. Good question.

1. The Jet

2. Fryar

3. Swift

4. Purify

5. Ingles

6. Davison

7. Kenny Bell

8. Enunwa

Off the top of my head. Could probably swap Q and Bell if you really wanted to, but Bell has had a better career.

Tough to say. The guy is a baller and it'll be sad to see him go, but he's dropped a ton of passes in his career, at crucial times in games. I'd put him somewhere in the top 20, but off the top of my head I don't know if I could name 15 guys better than him.

Johnny Rodgers is #1 without question. Guys like Abdul Muhammad are up there, Swift & Pederson are up there, too.

I'd have to say top 5 all time. I don't think he gets to the level of Johnny R or Irving F because they had their success in mostly running offenses. Swift probably had the best hands and routes of any receiver to play here. I think Quincy's 4 years trumps Purify. Frustration and injury hampered his senior year a bit but he had a great career here.

+1

One thing you have to consider when evaluating Quincy's career, and is often overlooked for Niles Paul as well, is their blocking. Enunwa is the greatest blocking wide receiver we have ever had.

That is some high praise. We have had some great blocking WR. Ross Pilkington was excellent. I would say that Q and Niles are the best that also were game changing pass catchers.

Enunwa had an extra game that Johnny didn't, but props anyway.

Purify and Niles Paul both had an NFL look to them, but neither had reliable hands. And they made the NFL anyway.

Enunwa has a shot.

Yeah we've had some great blocking wideouts over the years, but Q is a monster. I don't even care about the highlight blocks, he just locks on dudes and grounds them.
