Also, the claim that Frazier was clutch comes from HIM (not others) making plays when it mattered most.

It was Frazier who converted the two-point conversion to tie it up against Miami in the same endzone where Turner Gill misfired.

It was Frazier who converted two third downs on the winning drive against a Miami defense that included Warren Sapp and Ray Lewis, a defense that was better than the one Crouch faced in the Rose Bowl.

It was Frazier who as a sophomore led Nebraska to the national title game, and made a clutch throw in the closing seconds of the game to give Nebraska a chance to win.

So Crouch didn't make plays when it mattered too? Oh boy, without him NU's 2000 & 2001 teams might have been close to the Callahan years. Well, that's a stretch but not that far.

I don't know which Miami team was better but for me it was glaringly obvious that Miami was wayyyyyyy out of our league in 2001. To assume Frazier replacing Crouch would have evened things up is simply not true. "No" qb was going to even that game up as it was men vs boys and CozBohl's defense had zero chance of stopping them when they were inclined to move the ball. All the "clutch" qualities you state he had wouldn't have meant squat in that game. Or the 2001 Colorado game either.

Haha....oh heck, they were "both" simply terrific. But as great as they certainly were, they were just "one" player. Not 22.

Frazier was 3-time national championship game MVP. Never been done before...won't be done again.

To a lesser extent, I agree. Most of his threads just confuse me.
