I would absolutely love for this league to come to Nebraska! They talked to the president of the league last spring on Unsportsmanlike conduct and and he said they have been in talks with officials at UNL to have a team representing UNL, UNO and surrounding Nebraska schools. I think the talks were slow then, and this was in Pedersons reign (So he might not have wanted it if he couldn't get his hands on money from it, but that's just my opinion). But I bet TO as the AD would ok it because it would bring back anyone that played CFB in this area and graduated college to play. And they play in the spring which is perfect so us Nebraska fans would have something to do in the Spring time when CFB isn't in season! I think it would be super duper! :thumbs

Overlooked it, thanks! It would be nice to see him play in nebraska sometime again!

I really hope this comes to fruition, it'd be great to see some of the former greats who didn't go to the league have a shot to keep playing for fans who care about them .

Hmm. That is something to think about if Omaha builds that downdown stadium for the CWS. The field could be made suitable for football, too. (I believe Rosenblatt was used for the Omaha Mustangs.) I think Memorial Stadium is too large, and would look empty with 20,000 to 30,000 fans. The only problem is how do you work it out with the Royals?

Man that'd be awesome if it does happen but even more awesome if my childhood idol Kenny Walker came back and played again!

probably too late now :bang

I'm watching the live draft of the AAFL on their website, what is your prediction for who he plays for? I hate to say it but I hope he ends up in Texas, keep him in the Big XII
