While we are talking about ESPN and the Huskers...

Did anyone see the ESPN Championsip Series on TV last night? Well if you didn't know they are predicting the whole season and last night they started with the conference championship. Texas and Nebraska were for the Big 12 and of course they gave us no chance. They pretty much said Texas would walk away with it. Also, Texas was undefeated at this point 13-0 in the season so that means they would beat us twice next season. Am I the only one that thinks we will give Texas a run for their money next year? It blows my mind that these guys don't even stop to talk about us competeing with them, they just say Texas easily wins this one.

Losses to Missouri and Kansas. Do you remember those. Do you remember Texas putting a whipping on what some called the best team of all time a few days before the game.

They go off of past performance. Nothing more, nothing less.

Reality is if you were a Vandy fan you would pick it exactly the same way. We have to understand that no one knows what is here. They go by what should happen from the past season. Numbers lost and and numbers gained. They lose some no question, we did to, but their numbers gained are greater than ours. Their sum total is higher so they end up being favored. It has nothing to do with liking or disliking. Just numbers and they have them. If you were betting your, house your car, your first born, who would you pick.

Loving this program as I do and have so many years. If it was my first born or my house today it would be Texas. I don't bet but that is the way you have to make your decessions. You make them that way the homer vote goes away.

You have to remember that it was May and Blackledge giving these "Nostradamus" like predictions. You know, the Bevis and Butthead of college football commentators.

Getting road wins at Iowa State and Kansas State will do much to RESTORE THE ORDER!!
Those are probally more important games for us to win than beating USC and Texas in our quest to Restore the Order. Beating USC and Texas will not mean hardly anything if we turn around and lose to the likes of Iowa State and Kansas.

:hmmm ESPN, like other major networks, like to blow smoke up the a$$ of the current 'hero' image. It's nothing personal, even. :hmmm

Oh, and... from the article.......

Beck, who had his redshirt pulled in the 10th game last season to orchestrate the Kansas State comeback, left for North Carolina State with his mother taking shots at the Nebraska program on his way out.
pu&&y pu&&y pu&&y Pooo-seeeeehy!

Hey guys....

can you help me out?

There's a lost little kitten somewhere, and I can't seem to find it

No matter what, that is the most important things. Stay focused on restoring the order. Good ESPN article or not, fearful kitten or not, stay focused.

You know guys, there is one thing about the article that I did agree about. The quote about Callahan, "Most Nebraska fans still weren't sold late last season after the Cornhuskers opened 5-4."

The truth is, I didnt think he was going to be here after the season. We were 10-10 after 20 games in the Callahan era, terrible on the road, and saw Kansas drop 40 on us. Congdon kicked a game winning FG, we beat CU pretty good, and then came from behind in the fourth to beat Michigan. And thank goodness because that was awesome. I am hopeful and anxious for this season, and although I am not entirely sold on Callahan yet (dont hate) I think we have the opportunity to have a great season.

No matter what, my heart lives and dies with the Huskers.

GBR!!!
