International Man of Mystery
The TV schedule for the first half of the 2013 season's prime-time games have been announced, and one notable name is missing:

ESPN/ABC has made its six prime-time picks for the upcoming season. One game already had been announced: Notre Dame at Michigan on Sept. 7.
Here's the full Big Ten prime-time schedule on ESPN/ABC:

Sept. 7: Notre Dame at Michigan, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2

Sept. 14: Notre Dame at Purdue, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2

Sept. 28: Wisconsin at Ohio State, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2

Oct. 5: Ohio State at Northwestern, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2

Oct. 12: Michigan at Penn State, 5 p.m. ET, ESPN or ESPN2

Oct. 26: Penn State at Ohio State, 8 p.m. ET, ABC or ESPN or ESPN2

To be fair, the only game possible for this half of the season would have been the UCLA game, but ESPN/ABC instead chose Notre Dame at Purdue.

I suppose the fact that Notre Dame played for a national championship last year factors into that, as well as the fact that we gave up a near-record number of yards to UCLA last year. Another prime-time blowout loss by Nebraska is NOT what the suits at ESPN/ABC consider good primetime TV.

Because Turdue isn't going to get their asses kicked?

Indeed the Huskers have not done well on national TV and that likely factors into things. Yet... there is a chance to get on the schedule in the second half of the season, right?

I'm glad the UCLA game won't be on Fox, listening to Joey Harrington for more than 5 minutes makes me wanna jump out of a 4 story building.

So just because Notre Dame played for the NC last year (and got walloped), that means that their game against Turdue is better primetime material than a possible top 15 matchup between Nebraska and UCLA.

Right.
