ESPN Bowl Projections (as of 11/23)

Almost as likely is Missouri winning the Big 12 champ game and going to the BCS, whoever did not play in the Big 12 champ game (Texas or OU) going to the national title game and then loser or Texas Tech also going to the BCS (yes there is a scenario for 3 teams from one conf to make it) and everyone moves up one spot.
Really? What is that scenario? According to Jerry Palm's collegebcs.com site, "Under no circumstance may a conference place more than two teams in the BCS games." He is pretty widely acknowledged as the #1 expert on the BCS.
It's not very likely to happen but the BCS (a few weeks ago) did say that if the BCS #1 and #2 happens to be from the same conference. They would allow 3 BCS teams from that conference. They were at the time explaining what would happen if;

Missouri beat an Big XII south Champ

Florida loss to Flordia St

Alabama loss to Flordia

USC loss to UCLA

It would take a lot of things but if OU and Texas or Tech finish #1 and #2 after the conference Championship games the NCG would be OU vs Texas(or Tech) and Missouri would be going to the Fiesta.

OK, thanks. Yes, that actually is possible. I see this addressed on bcsfootball.org.

They also now handle the possibility that there won't be 10 teams eligible out of the top 14 without a 3rd team from a conference (not being #1 and #2), by extending to 18, then 22, etc, until they get the bowls filled.

Jerry Palm needs to update his site.

The Gator would be sweet, but they won't say no to the Irish (no matter how bad they are) and having a team like FSU/GT is a natural draw for them. I think the Sun is the most likely route for us...and the insight is just a worst case scenario. Beating UW would be fun, but I'd love a shot against a team like Arizona or Northwestern.
Gator is NOT getting the Irish. Notre Dumb is bowl eligible, and therefore will take their rightful place in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! :bs: !!!!!
