ESPN cracking on NU’s stadium renovation

You can eye roll all you want, but its not conservatives that generally paint football as the "bad guys" when its sports v academics.

Which is the largest problem with politics in this country, people can't separate being republican, democrat, a tuna fish, whatever from things like science, education, football message boards etc.  Get it out of here people.

Just for clarification, It's and AP article, not ESPN. It says it at the top of the ESPN's story.

I am a UNK alumni and my program (not theater) was cut. Pretty disappointing but I got my degree.

I just wish the legislature could have given the university system more money to prevent it. The legislature was asked by the university system for a 3% budget increase and the legislature gave them the 2.5% increase. Hence the cuts. 

I know UNL athletics have given to the university system before but no way was it going to be able to take care of a $58,000,000 shortfall.
