ESPN's story #2 on Jack Hoffman by Chris Connelly

Its just heartbreaking to see what that brave little boy goes through every week. I pray that his future has even better days than scoring the td and he will hear the words 'cancer free" spoken about him.

Like them or not, ESPN done a great job with that. My wife started crying when she was watching it.

Thanks for sharing...great piece!!!

I was there for this and every time I watch a highlight it is even cooler. I am very glad I was able to experience this first hand. I have had several people stop me at my school or when I am out and about with my Husker gear on and say how great they think Nebraska is for doing something like this.

Jack is an amazing little warrior and he has humbled me with his strength and courage.

While 99% of the coverage of this has been justifiably positive, I've got to mention that it irks me no end to read the A.P. account today of the Miami spring game where they reference the "Jack" story being the talk of the country and say....."Miami tried its own gimmicks at its spring game."

What irresponsible bone-headed oaf wrote that context? :steam

(Page 2 of the LIncoln Journal today).

It doesn't matter how many times I hear Jack's story, it brings a tear to my eye and gives me the chills. Strong little man he is, and I have the utmost respect for his parents. I am not sure how I would handle this, if it were to happen to my little girl!
