Barcelona will be without the services of Adriano for up to 1 week after the Brazilian was diagnosed with a hamstring injury in the Catalans' 4-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Tuesday.

Inter's Diego Forlan Nearing Comeback

The Uruguayan picked up an injury halfway through October while away on international duty and has been out of action since. However, Inter has announced on their official website that Forlan has returned to the training pitch and is close to making his comeback. Forlan featured in a training game on Wednesday without any significant problems before continuing with an individual practice session.

Forlan Targets Christmas Return

Speaking to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Forlan said: "I feel good. It was the worst injury of my career, but is now part of the past. I'm training and my athletic condition improves day after day. But now we must wait and not rush."

When asked if he will make his comeback before Christmas, Forlan responded: “I would say so.”

The Uruguayan has been out of action since October after tearing his hamstring.
