Drogba's goal off a free kick proved to be the winner in the 2010 FA Cup final at Wembley. Michael Ballack left the game in the first half from Boateng's nasty challenge to his ankle, which should have been a red card. Let's hope the German captain will be healthy for the World Cup.

Barcelona Beat Valladolid 4-0; Win La Liga

After a nervous opening 10 minutes which saw Valladolid squander beautiful scoring opportunities (including a badly played ball by the keeper Valdes, who, off a pass from Pique, took a poor first touch which bounced right onto the feet of Barragan who passed it to Manucho who's open shot was miraculously blocked by Carles Puyol), Barcelona all but put it away when Pedro's cross into the box was put in accidentally by Valladolid's Luis Prieto. Pedro's strike just 4 minutes later caused the Blaugrana fans to go wild. Messi scored a brace in the second half, tying Ronaldo for most goals (47) in a season at Barcelona.

Real Madrid Draw Malaga 1-1

In what was an extremely disappointing showing by Real Madrid, Los Blancos had to win today to have any chance of winning La Liga, trailing Barcelona by 1 point coming into the final match. But it was Malaga scoring first and setting the tone for the rest of the match which saw Madrid tie and take away 1 point. What a disappointing season, considering the record-breaking amount of money they spent last offseason on Ronaldo and Kaka.

no La Liga title...losing to Lyon early in the Champions League...and losing to Alcorcon in the first round of the Copa del Rey

That would be a huge pick up for Barcelona. Him and Messi would be a lot of fun to watch.

If the transfer does go through, it will be interesting to see what lineup Guardiola fills out next season. Barcelona already has the best central midfielder in the world; Xavi. There's no way Cesc will replace him. What about Iniesta? He plays alongside Xavi. Would Pep seriously consider sitting Iniesta in favor of Cesc? There's no way Dani Alves is benched.

A huge logjam at the midfield position...
