Manchester City Fines Tevez 4 Weeks' Wages For Bayern Munich Game

Manchester City has fined striker Carlos Tevez 4 weeks’ wages for 5 breaches of his playing contract stemming from his refusal to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich.

A statement on City's official website reads: "Following a detailed investigation and associated hearing, a disciplinary panel has upheld the charge of misconduct. Five separate breaches of contract formed the basis of the decision by the panel. As a result Carlos Tevez has been fined four weeks’ wages and has been suspended for a period of two weeks (deemed to have already been served). He has received a written warning as to his future conduct."

Barcelona's Pedro Out 2 Weeks With Ankle Injury

Pedro appeared to have twisted his ankle in the second half of yesterday's match against Granada.

Fears of a break have been allayed, though, as post-match scans have revealed only damaged tendons.

A statement on the club's official website reads: "The exams performed this morning on the forward from the Canaries confirmed that he is suffering from a distension of the peroneal tendon in the left ankle. His absence is estimated at between two and three weeks."
