Gerard Pique & Carles Puyol Resume Training

Barcelona has received some promising news before Saturday's game against Mallorca as both Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol have been declared fit to play.

Pique resumed regular training earlier this week after recovering from a hamstring injury, and Barcelona has now confirmed that Puyol has recovered from his groin injury.

 
Giuseppe Rossi Tears ACL In Right Knee; Out 6 Months

Villarreal has confirmed that Giuseppe Rossi will be sidelined for 6 months after tearing his ACL in his right knee. The Italian came off in the second half of his side's 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday. Medical tests have shown that the 24-year-old has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, with a recovery time estimated at 6 months.

 
Joan Capdevila Wants Out Of Benfica

Benfica left-back Joan Capdevila is looking to leave Benfica in January, agent Horacio Gaggioli has indicated. The Spaniard moved to Benfica on a free transfer in the summer hoping to fill the void left by Fabio Coentrao, but has found himself behind Emerson in the club's pecking order.

"We are working to solve the issue about Capdevila's transfer," Gaggioli told Radio Renascenca. "There is nothing concrete yet. The player is unhappy, but that is just life."
