OFFICIAL: Atletico Madrid Hires Diego Simeone As New Coach

Atletico Madrid has announced on their official website that they have appointed Diego Simeone as the club's new coach until the summer of 2013. The 41-year-old takes over for Gregorio Manzano, who was fired on Thursday after Atletico's embarrassing loss to Albacete in the Copa del Rey, eliminating them from the competition. Simeone played for Atletico from 1994-1997 and 2003-2005.

Andres Iniesta Tears Left Hamstring; Out 15 Days

Barcelona has communicated on its official website that tests have confirmed the midfielder tore the biceps femoris in his left leg and will now miss the first leg of the Copa del Rey last 16 clash between January 3-5, 2012, as well as the Liga game against Espanyol. Iniesta collided with Hospitalet keeper Carlos Craviotto just before the half-hour mark, which prompted his substitution.

 
OFFICIAL: Villarreal Appoints Jose Molina As New Coach

Villarreal has confirmed on its official website that Jose Molina is the new head coach. The former Spain international, who was in charge of Villarreal's second team, replaces Juan Carlos Garrido after Villarreal's loss to Mirandes in the Copa del Rey, eliminating them from the competition.
