Evolution of Herbie

Some of the old mascots they show on video clips roaming the sidelines scared the hell out of me as a kid and still do today.  I will always be partial to fat, corn cob Herbie in the bib overalls.  

 
Thought this was a Kirk Herbstreit thread and how he's gone from meh, to utter contempt, and now bullish on the Huskers

Man I have not been able to get that yellow corncob without a face out of my head the past couple days. It’s horrifyingly great.

image.jpeg                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               This one has always been my favorite.  I loved it when in the 95 Orange Bowl, Herbie is seen behind the end zone, Costa getting sacked and there is Herbie punping his fingers at Costa, and then celebrating with the Blackshirts.
