Expectations of Nebraska football

Never lose to Iowa again

And down the line I expect us to stomp Colorado so badly their program folds.

Play in the conference championship game 50% of the time and win the conference every four years or so. Play in (and maybe even win!) a major bowl game or two each decade.
I wish that my expectations were higher . . . but the truly disappointing thing is that these relatively low expectations aren't met.
And don't forget that you're also told you're a lousy fan for demanding that something actually of merit be won.

I predict we will lose two games in the regular season which will more than likely keep us out of the B1G Championship. I'm hoping we can tame Miami at home, but I don't see us getting by Michigan State and Wisconsin at their houses. My biggest concern heading into 14' is the OL. We're already one of the worst teams with regards to turnovers. A porous OL won't do anything to aid us there. All in all, we should have a pretty decent season. I'm guessing we'll eventually learn who our field general will be for years to come next season. Unless someone gets extremely pass happy, our defense should improve leaps and bounds. I'll say we end the season at 10-3.

I expect what has happened in the past. No reason to expect something different as nothing has changed to warrant it. We have a staff still learning how to be a staff, how to coach, organize, recruit and fitting that all in a time frame. We have little along the Oline in starting experience and the level of the Oline has always contributed to the turn overs we seem to have been plagued with.

I am hopeful that there will not be any blow out losses, but I do not expect that to be the case.

I do not expect to see this team play for the CC nor a BCS game. I expect the players and staff to give their best efforts, and with those the possibility of playing for said levels of games. We are long past the days of expecting to win every game, or be competitive in every game. When we start to win the games we should, play competitively in games we should lose, then and only then can I truly have higher expectations. Expectations are not based on it being a new year. Based on reality and past performance gives a more realistic picture. That being said, the bowl game does give me some hope, we will see if that attitude continues throughout the year.

I am hopeful we will see a well prepared team for every game, appropriate game plans to give the players their best opportunity to win. I do not expect this to happen, again history has repeated itself here regularly.

I am not excited about our lessor side of the conference, but expect Wisconsin and Iowa to seize on the opportunity, we will see if Nebraska does. This division even winning it will hurt us in the end I think. I do not see a top 4 chance playing in it unless we upgrade our OOC schedule heavily in the future. We have yet to prove we can win those type of upgraded schedules.

So until proven different, I expect more of the same. Not terrible, not great, just enough to keep the faith that something will change.

Anything less than an undefeated National Championship, the #1 recruiting class, Bo not making any funny faces, not yelling at anyone, or making any snide comments to reporters calls for the whole thing to be blown up and started over.

We ARE Nebraska, after all.

This quote makes sense if Nebraska had been winning conference championships, not getting blown out at least twice a year, making errors on the field high school teams don't, some players in positions of leadership off the field saying what they're giving is enough, and the coach not making an a$$ of himself on the sideline.

But since they have done all of those things, your post is ridiculous.

It may need re-calibrating.

He makes his face that way?

My expectations, for Nebraska to keep losing, so I can become a sourpuss fan! Seems like its the only attitude you can have around this place. f#*k POSITIVITY! This is NEBRASKA after all. Moving in a positive direction with Bo is absolutely impossible. #OfficialBoHaterNow

Now you're getting it.

Just so we're clear, expecting Nebraska to lose four games next year makes you a sourpuss fan?

So if I walk my dog over to sh#t in your yard for six years straight, do you expect my dog to sh#t in your yard when you see me coming down the block with my dog again? Or does that mean you just have a bad attitude.

If six years in a row, McDonalds drive thru puts pickles on your burger every time you go through and ask for no pickles, do you expect pickles on your next order, or are you just a McDonalds hater? Do you expect your burger to be flame broiled? No, that's Burger King.

If for six years straight, your car doesn't start very time the temp drops below 5 degrees, do you go outside in the 7th winter on a 0 degree day and expect your car to start right up? Or do you just hate Combustion engines?

I think you have the meaning of hope and expectation mixed up buddy.

This has been another edition of Trues lame a$$ sarcastic analogies. See you next time.

As a consumer you like eating Mcdonalds. But you dont like the guy on the speaker taking your order because he just doesnt get what you personally want. Unfortunately as a consumer you cant fire him and hire the guy at wendys. You can go eat at Wendys though.
