Eye Gouging and punching whats the difference?

The "victim" of the "eye gouging" thought it was just football and that Spikes should not have been suspended at all. I thought that was interesting...I would have agreed with you guys but that just makes me wonder.
Strange, but it was eye gouging no matter how you look at it and the players opinion shouldn't matter. Would he feel the same way had he suffered some damage to the eyes??

 
I think one of the biggest things with Blount is that he had to be dragged off the field to prevent him from going into the crowd. If Frost wasn't there to hold him back that would've been way more uglier than it already was. But yeah suspending him the whole year was excessive, and Spikes probably should've had more than a game suspension.
