Fall Camp...

In honesty he wasa against the whole idea. He knew the agenda of the Texas teams. Sad that a lot of his friends did not listen to him at the time. The Big 8 sold out to the losing SWC and now they run the show. Their population most assurdly guarantees their success. My guess is within the next 5 years you will see the conference championship games played in Dallas and no where else.

If not Dallas, somewhere else in Texas. Hopefully it won't coast us a chance at the National Titile in upcoming years, and we can use it as momentum to go to the championship game.

They had no choice, really. When Arkansas left the SWC for the SEC, it was the final blow to "regular" conferences. To compete against the new SEC and its championship game, all the majors had to realign to some extent to create something that TV would still want to be tied to.

Sad, but that's the way of the world...

But there were a lot of folks in Arkansas that could have predicted Texas' dominance in terms of setting policies - in the old SWC (Southwest Conference for you young 'uns), Arkansas was the only non Texas based school. UT (that's University of Texas for any of you SEC fans lurking about, and not Tennessee) did the same thing in the old SWC.
