Fast Food Chicken

Canes is not bad, it's just not good.  It receives a disproportionate amount of praise for how meh it is.

Have to agree with this.  I like Canes.  The sauce is really good and I like the fries.

But every time we're in Lincoln my wife is ready to eat at Canes.  I'm kind of "Yeah, that's fine.  But can't we eat somewhere else?"

Chic-fil-a for the win! Best chicken sandwich out there. Just Chicken, pickle and bun. That's all you need. Waffle fries are a nice compliment as well.

I think all of the above is okay, but if I am going to go fast food, I skip the chicken altogether and try to get the best bang for the buck with a big triple cheeseburger.

I like some KFC and Popeyes though I rarely eat it.  Raising Canes and Chick Fil A are fine.  They are Chicken strips and a chicken sandwich.  My daughter loves Raising Canes she says it is the sauce that is great.  She also likes the chicken strips at Runza.  She is a chicken strip/nugget snob.

I had Cane's about a week ago and for the first time ever it was really, really mediocre.  I don't get chicken strips too often but when I do, I end up going to Dairy Queen I kid you not.  Chick-Fil-A goes without saying and Runza is also pretty good.

Popeyes

pizza ranch ( not technically fast food )

runza chicken strips

kfc

Canes is meh to me

havent tried the rest

I had to bump this because I had to drive past Cane's for work a couple times. The drive-thru is backed up about half a mile into in one of the busiest streets in town. I don't get it man

Well everybody and their dog has a chicken sandwich of some sort now. McDonald's just released theirs with three versions of it. Taco Bell has some chicken sandwich taco thing. Anyone tried any of the newbies?

I went to Canes about three weeks ago for the first time in probably a year or two. Same thing - line was backed into the street. Tasted kind of the same as it always had, too.

IMO, Canes is OK fried fast food at a reasonably low price with a pretty tasty sauce. Definitely not worth obsessing over like some people do, but taken at face value, it 100% makes sense as to why it's so popular. I've never understood the overt infatuation or the dislike. It's chicken strips and carbs. I don't think they make themselves out to be anything other than what they are.

I haven't had any of those yet but a buddy of mine said the McD's ones are pretty good. I think the last "new" one I tried was Popeye's chicken sandwich and since then I've probably had fast food only a handful of times.
