Why was a fictitious name added to an airline’s passenger list?

Did the fictitious refer to an actual passenger? That is, was it used to "mask" the real name of a passenger?

Was the name added by the airline?
Would the addition be related to a plane crashing or accident of some sort?

Did the airline add it to make the plane look like it was carrying more than 13 passengers. (unlucky #)?

Does it matter what the fictitious name was?

Was the name added by the government?

......by an insurance company?

......by an airline employee?

......by the media?

Did the fictitious name have anything to do with a passenger that was on-board the flight?

If so, was this passenger a VIP of some sort?

Were there ANY passengers aboard the flight?

Was the flight's purpose important? That is; was the flight commercial? military? humanitarian aid/transport? recreational?

Is there a limit as to how many questions I can ask?
