Congratulations to the team for getting a championship monkey off the athletic dept's back.
We have won track and volleyball championships - so AD department is just adding to the totals with baseball today.
I meant mens and "big 3". Our best accomplishment has been a 4th place finish in basketball and an embarrassing showing in the 2012 football championship there. Baseball should have won this conference last year, glad they didn't wait long to rectify it.

I would argue that the volleyball program is more important to the University, and more widely supported by fans than the baseball team. I'd put baseball at #4 behind football, volleyball, and men's basketball.

Whether they are the flagship program or not, I'm happy for the guys! Congrats Huskers!!!

Gotcha - baseball has held it's own, however nice to get all the way to the top. Football needs to step it up and should happen soon and every other year in our division. Basketball will have a tough road to get to the top, however upper 1/3 would be nice.

I also agree with "funhusker" Women's volleyball is held pretty high - but understand that some focus mostly on the men and the top 3.

Yeah sorry I should have been more clearer-er on that

And I do love some volleyball, but feel like it's us, some west coast teams and of course PSU but a majority of the country could care less other than to watch college girls in hot pants. And we're great at bowling, too.

The volleyball program is more important, and it actually makes $, unlike baseball, last time I checked.
