If you are the home team in the opener, you are usually the visitor in the 2nd game. Or, they did a coin flip before the game.Curious, why is the higher seed not the "home" team?

I know the CWS tries to have teams flip from being home and away for the 2nd games, and then after that, they do coin flip well before the games to decide home team.Interesting. In college baseball, the hitters rarely try to get out of the way, just so the hitter can reach base. They are told to not get out of the way by the coaches.Yesterday a Maryland player was hit by pitch and called back because the umpire decided he didn't make enough of an effort to get out of the way of the pitch. Jake Adams didn't look like he made any effort to get out of the way of that pitch. Probably better that he did get to first because they didn't score, but it's the principle. The Maryland coach got thrown out of the game for arguing.
