Fighting Erstad's vs. UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton

Erstad has pushed too fast! We do not have the talent to play this type of schedule. If does not help if we keep losing, Our only chance to make the NCAA is to win the league tournament. Not where I thought we would be.

 
I disagree south. We dont have the talent, thats not erstads fault at this point. Our schedule should be daunting. With as bad as our record looks there are a handful of games, if not more, that we were in, like this one, at the end, and made a crucial mistake that broke the game open. This team is not elite. I do think however that they will be very competetive in league play and that was the point of the schedule. all games in league should seem much less daunting that our schedule to date.

Agree. I've never understood the mindset in that situation. Why put the call in the ump's hands? At 3-2 with bases loaded, be SURE to throw a strike..........still a 70% shot at an out. Let your defense have a chance!

 
This schedule hopefully will prepare this team for Big Ten Conference play. It was nice to see the bats wake up, hopefully pitching doesn't fail us with the umps again today.
