Fire BC - It's Up to Us

Armistead

Five-Star Recruit
5-6 is a no-brainer...clean house

We need to fire BC if we go 5-5 this year...we need to cut him loose and Let Cosgrove run the team for the week and then pull the plug on the whole lot

this is not right...the Huskers had the edge coming in and we can't weem to stop anybody anymore...the defense is the worst in the north....the Huskera are the worst team in the north...we are only slightly better than Okie State and Baylor.

That is a fact....this Staff needs to beat KSU or we nedd to fire tham and Pud next Sunday

I don't mean to be mean-spirited; that's not my intention.

But it's time to let BC go. He's had two years, and the program is no better now than it was when he took over. I know he's got the excuse of putting a new system in, and changing players, but let's face facts. We should be seeing a better product on the field.

We heard the whispers that this staff may recruit well, but the jury is out when it comes to coaching and teaching. Those fears have become reality, I'm afraid. The terrible performance of our offensive line, the lack of development from our recievers, the digression of the Blackshirts, the shaky special teams play - all make painfully obvious that this staff, and its leader, are not good enough to make this program what it should be - a National Championship contender.

I'm sure many of us have striven to give BC the benefit of the doubt. He was asked to implement a new system. He did have to recruit new players. That's all well and good. But at the same time, this man is required to win football games. He's required to return the pride back to NU football. He's failing on both fronts.

BC seems to be a good guy. I sincerely hope he can return to the NFL and get a coordinator job - something he's probably pretty good at. But he's had almost two years to show that he can return this program to prominence, and the proof, I'm afraid, is in the pudding.

BC is not the man for Nebraska football. Join me in requesting that Pederson fire BC at the end of the season.

OUR MISSION

Our mission remains dedicated to excellence, but with a renewed sense of urgency, enthusiasm, pride, teamwork, professionalism and integrity. :rollin

--This football team and staff is now the antithesis of that statement. What a joke.

I really wish it didn't have to be this way. I was for the BC hiring, unlike many Husker fans, because I recognized that we had to change the offense in order to attract the stud atheletes. It worked for OU. And I wish BC succeeded. I really do. I wish BC all the best and thank him for working hard.

But sometimes, you have to cut the fat, no matter how painful.

I truely believe that it is time for Bill Callahan to go. This team is awful and not only is it the players faults, it's the coaches faults for not having these "players" ready to play. I don't care about youth. That excuse can only be used so much. These guys were recruited because somebody thought they knew how to play football. Obviously somebody misjudged! Two years was enough for Coach Callahan to show what he has as a coach and I don't believe he's got it. For the second year in a row, NU will be home for the holidays. Throttled by KU, they will more than likely lose to KSU and they will get throttled again at CU. Unreal!

but you know guys, we hired him to be a winner........hard work just is not enough.....i expected to lose some games, but blown out by the worst offense in the country needs a damn good explanation! i just don't think there is one......why are we going backwards now, even on defense? i am willing to hear all reasonable explanations........watching CU play Missouri right now.....we are gonna get a good old fashioned a$$ whupin in Boulder.......without a doubt......

I saw the throat slashing by BC on one of the major stations (ESPN, I think). The commentator said he had never seen anything like it from a coach. I initially thought that it had been exaggerated, but if you see it, it was clearly a throat slash. This type of behavior compromises our integrity.

I'm convinced that the defensive problems lie within the coaching. The coaches blame it on execution. I don't buy it.

Why does a playbook need to be 10,000 pages? It seems that this offense requires perfect execution, or it fails. I don't care for it.

Personally, I don't think that year number three for BC will be any better. Just my opinion.

Where's Bo Pelini?

Unless your pockets are fat you voice doesn't matter. I hate to say that but I think that is the way major college sports are. Internet message boards have NO pull what so ever. It will take more then people on this site to have this stuff happen. As $Bill stated it is the boosters of substance that matter not the average fan. That is how it is done.

I also don't think there would be a coach worth a crap that would take this job right now. Only giving a guy two years isn't going to cut it anymore. We have to be like ND and Florida and give them at least 3. I do think there will be some shake-up in the staff though. I'm sure there will be a couple asst. coaches shown the door.

I feverishly defended this staff the past week and the improvements made, then they come out today and display quite possibly one of the top 5 worst losses in the history of the school. Kansas was averaging about 270 yards a game, they get well over 400 today. Kansas had 39 points scored in 5 Big 12 games, they score 40 on the Blackshirts. The offense manages 135 yards. I know KU's defense is good, but c'mon, they aren't that good. This loss falls on the coaches, the game plans on both sides of the ball were atrocious today. I dunno how this loss changes things for Pederson and Callahan, because I doubt many people even considered something like this a possibility.
