First Three Home Games: PPV

For those of us who remember what it was like back in the day... this is actually a good deal, and it's making the UNL Athletic Dept. a bunch of money. A win-win for me!
Well, I wouldn't say $30 or whatever is a good deal, but it's an option. The game wouldn't be on TV otherwise, so if you want to pay or see it at a bar, you can. If not, you listen on the radio like you would've anyway.

I'm undecided right now, leaning towards not doing PPV, which probably means I will, at least for one of them.

Wow, a real live Florida Atlantic Owl fan. I wonder how many of you guys will make the trip up to Lincoln?

More of us every year! :woo

Keep in mind that FAU has only had Football in ANY incarnation since 2001. (FCS from 01-05, and FBS from 06 till Present) Takes time to grow a base.

As for making the trip I would imagine a few hundred would make it, (we dont travel well for the above reason).

This one is a tough sell to travel to. NU has a great tradition and I would imagine a great stadium atmosphere but its tough to fork out Airfare/Hotel/Food expenses for whats most likely going to be an ole fashioned arse whoopping

Im a realist, Youre going to beat us and probably by at least 21 points. But our offesne WILL put up some points. We have a lot of talent on that side of the ball.

Feel free to drop by our board, www.fauowlsnest.com to chat. Weve been talking about the game with a few Husker fans for a while now.

I am betting that that would be a great day for the photographers to get pictures of the Sea of Red.

Hey, OwlFamily, welcome to HuskerBoard! Anything you can share about your team will be greatly appreciated. Make yourself at home.

I believe you Owl, and I've been trying to tell my fellow Husker fans the same thing. FAU averaged almost 400yds a game last season. Including 255 ypg in the air, and also scored 40+ points four times. No, FAU won't be a push over by any means. I think it's going to make for a great opening game challenge for the young Husker D.

I'm definitely going to have to pay for the opener, and the 300th sellout game against ULL. Hopefully the local alum chapter will be watching the Ark. St game at Gators here in DFW. Because I think the Red Wolves may be the toughest challenge coming out of the Sun Belt this season. (No offense OwlFamily!)

None Taken!

stAte, Troy, and FAU are all expected to be in the mix for the SunBelt crown.

Troy is by far the favorite and SHOULD win it, but in the past 4 years whoever has been the pre-season favorite has NOT been able to repeat as champs.

Im looking forward to the game, One thing about playing these games, is that it takes your players and forges them in the crucible. They come out batterd, but not broken and when you come into confrence play you have a wealth of experience ready to go.

Oh yeah, the paycheck is nice too. LOL.
