When you posted it I was thinking "he probably really does mean 'with all due respect' here, but 'with all due respect' is usually used by someone who's about to be an a**hole."

As someone who teaches college students and always gets e-mails from a few of them a week before finals asking for extra credit (none of whom ever bothered to come to me for help during office hours the previous 4 months in the semester), having a coach also pestering me would be annoying as hell. Sorry, guy, it's not my fault this player is an idiot and/or didn't try harder.
